HELP BEHIND THE LINE
I am Matúš Valko, a programmer and graphic designer from eastern Slovakia. Since the first week of the war, I have helped on the border with Ukraine. However, my help did not end there, and already at the beginning of March, in cooperation with Fight For Right, I began to
evacuate people directly from Ukraine. With the van, I was carrying humanitarian aid on the way there and transporting people from war zones to safety on the way back. In total, I managed to bring around 100 people to safety, providing them with all the necessary things, such as housing, administrative matters, and even work. Later, I devoted myself to people who, for various reasons, could not or did not want to leave the areas affected by the biggest fighting. I am dedicated to the specific needs of people close to the
front line.
At the moment, I spend roughly every other week in Ukraine, and the Help Behind the Line initiative has been joined by several volunteers who regularly travel to Ukraine.
For my work, I received the award from President Zuzana Čaputová, which is awarded to exceptional volunteers for their voluntary activities carried out for the benefit of others in
various areas of social life.

Who are we helping?
With your help, this time I would like to help and simplify the work of these two groups: The international military unit, which is already part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, urgently needs another car and 213. The independent motorized brigade ZSU asked me for help with
night vision.
What exactly will the money from this campaign be used for?
The international unit, which is already part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, needs a car. The car must be fast, long-lasting, and have very good cross-country ability. That is why, after previous experiences, I chose Land Rover Discovery again, which fulfills everything.
The car is already reserved; after the payment, I will do the necessary service and immediately personally take the car and hand it over, like all three previous ones. Yes, three. If you remember the collection that was organized for an all-terrain vehicle for Slovaks in
Ukraine, for that amount, I managed to get 3 cars there (Land Rover Discovery, Land Rover Range Rover Sport and Kia Sorento).
The guys from the 213th Independent Motorized Brigade need NVG-50 NW1 night vision – €6500, which I promised them help with.
Of course, the handing over of both things will be documented, and afterward, I will inform you of any updates.
Thank you very much for your help.
